Nancy Cartmill, President, called the Special Meeting of the County Commission to order at 10:00 a.m.

Chris Tatum, County Manager, informed the Commission that they needed to approve Poll Workers along with the Emergency Ballot Commissioners.

Robert L. Bailey, Commissioner, moved to approve amending the agenda to include Poll Workers along with Emergency Ballot Commissioners.  Anne Yon, Commissioner, seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous.

                                    APPOINTMENT OF POLL WORKERS FOR THE 2011

                                    SPECIAL ELECTION

Robert L. Bailey, Commissioner, moved to approve the Emergency Ballot Commissioners Mary Ann Henry and Nancy Eplin, nominated by the Democrat Executive Committee; Nora Ankrom and David Tyson, nominated by the Republican Executive Committee and Poll Workers for the 2011 Special Election.  Anne Yon, Commissioner, seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous.

#088                            APPROVAL OF 2011-2012 CABELL COUNTY GENERAL

                                    FUND AND COAL SEVERANCE FUND LEVY

                                    ESTIMATE (BUDGET)

Chris Tatum, County Manager, stated that after deliberations on several items, the budget included the $1,000.00 salary increase for county employees, two new deputies and adjustments in the Commission’s personnel line item, the 2011-2012 budget would be $19,493,034 and the Coal Severance 2011-2012 would be $260,000.

Robert L. Bailey, Commissioner, moved to approve the 2011-2012 Cabell County General Fund and Coal Severance Fund Levy Estimate (Budget).  Anne Yon, Commissioner, seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous.
