Nancy Cartmill, President, called the special meeting of the Cabell County Commission to order at 9:30 a.m.
#035 DISCUSSION/ACTION
RE: SPECIAL PRIMARY ELECTION AND
POLL WORKERS
Karen Cole, County Clerk, asked the Commission for direction on how to proceed with the nomination of poll workers, in order to modify the party executive committees.
Nancy Cartmill, President, moved to approve using the same process as always. Anne Yon, Commissioner, seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous.
Karen Cole, County Clerk, informed the Commission that Precincts 7A and 7B had to be moved because the Owens Illinois Club House was not available for the May 14th Election. Mrs. Cole suggested moving the precincts back to the former location Southside Elementary School, formerly Cammack School.
Mrs. Cole stated that Precinct 13, located at the Jr. League Building, would need to be move as well, however, a location had not been found.
Mrs. Cole stated that Precinct 54, located at the YMCA Kennedy Center, would need to be temporarily moved to Cox Landing Elementary School.
Mrs. Cole asked that the Commission meet Thursday, March 24, 20011, to approve the poll workers.
Mrs. Cole informed that Commission that the canvass would start Friday, May 20, 2011 and Early Voting started April 22, 2011 and would end May 11, 2011.
Nancy Cartmill, President, adjourned the meeting at 9:50 a.m.
