Robert L. Bailey, President, called the Special Meeting of the Cabell County Commission to order at 1:00 p.m.

COUNTY COURTHOUSE SECURITY DIRECTOR

RE: HERMAN BECKETT 1:00 P.M.

C. A. ADAMS 1:15 P.M.

EDWARD HAUN 1:30 P.M.

LONNIE KEITH CHADWICK 1:45 P.M.

W. Scott Bias, Commissioner, moved to go into Executive Session to interview for the position of Courthouse Security Director. Nancy Cartmill, Commissioner, seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous.

The Commission recessed the meeting at 1:03 p.m.

The Commission reconvened the meeting at 2:30 p.m., with no action taken.

W. Scott Bias, Commissioner, moved to approve the employment of C.A. Adams as Courthouse Security Director with a rate of pay of $35,000.00, effective October 15, 2008. Nancy Cartmill, Commissioner, seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous.

Nancy Cartmill, Commissioner, moved to approve the full time employment of Edward Haun as the Courthouse Security Assistant Director with benefits and a rate of pay of $24,000.00 per year, effective October 1, 2008.

Robert L. Bailey, President, adjourned the Special Meeting of the Commission at 2:35 p.m., until the next regular scheduled meeting on Thursday, October 2, 2008, at 10:00 a.m.
