W. Scott Bias. President, called the Special Meeting of the Cabell County Commission to order at 10:00 a.m.

 

#098                            ACCEPTANCE LETTER FROM WEST VIRGINIA STATE

                                    AUDITOR FOR LEVY, ENTER AS PART OF RECORD 

 

Stephen Zoeller, County Manager, explained that in the conditional acceptance letter received earlier, it was noted there was a mistake on the back page of the rate sheet regarding the gas and oil funds.  Mr. Zoeller stated he corrected the amount from $40,000 to $50,000 and noted the funds would be used for law enforcement.

 

Robert L. Bailey, Commissioner, moved to approve the acceptance letter from the West Virginia State Auditor.  Nancy Cartmill, Commissioner, seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous.    

 

#099                            ENTERTAINING OBJECTIONS TO LEVY RATE

 

W. Scott Bias, President, requested the record show there were no objections to the levy rates.

 

#100                            ADOPTION OF LEVY ORDER AND RATE SHEET

 

Nancy Cartmill, Commissioner, moved to approve the Cabell County General Fund and Coal Severance Fund Levy Estimates (Budget) for 2007-2008.  Robert L. Bailey, Commissioner, seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous.

 

W. Scott Bias, President, adjourned the Special Meeting of the Commission at 10:05 a.m., until the next scheduled meeting on Thursday, April 19, 2007, at 10:00 a.m.
